Spearheaded the "Night of Chaos" development for CiGA Game Jam 2022, blending psychological horror with intricate puzzle design. Designed four levels, each featuring a unique escape room challenge, emphasizing player strategy and adaptability. Implemented a dynamic level transformation system, where player movement triggers changes in the environment.

Created all UI/UX elements for the game through Procreate and Photoshop. Designed art assets alongside members of the studio.

Collaborated with other artists to design the 3D tile sets used in-game. Co-designed the game mechanics and levels of Chapter 1. Created the narrative backstory of the game.

Collaborated on character animations/item animations on Unity. Collaborated on level design and building through Unity 3D and Github.

Led a group of 9 members (Silverjay Studio) to participate in CiGA Game Jam 2022, finishing the game within 4 days.

Story:

The game is based on the working clown gradually losing his sanity working a haunted house shift during Halloween, resulting in a murder. However, when he was deemed not guilty and released from prison, he completely lost his memories. One day, when destiny seemed to be playing tricks, he wandered into the old haunted house where he used to work at, and suddenly, his memories came flooding back.

Obstacles:

When we decided to create a horror puzzle-solving game, we wanted to make it unique, albeit still comfortable/easy for the players. After iterations of brainstorming, the idea of using 2D hand-drawn assets in Unity 3D became the answer for us. However, this was a territory none of us had encountered, so the designers (another student and I) and developers had to learn from scratch. Nonetheless, we understood the risk and took that leap of faith, knowing that the players would enjoy our aesthetics and we, as designers/developers, would benefit from this experience. On the side, it presents how our concept art became actual products.
